Fisheries Local Action Group
- HISTORY
During the year 2010, representatives from the public, business, and civic sectors in three municipalities initiated a public-private partnership in order to develop capacity and to be a leading force in the preparation of the territory for participation in the EU Operational Program for the Development of Rural Regions (OPDRP). After a successful transit of the informational process on the basic opportunities of the program, and after consultations among all the interested parties about the priorities and strategic goals for competitive development, the tri-municipality area was approved to participate in the program as Fishing Region “High Western Rhodopes: Batak—Devin—Dospat,” represented by the public-private partnership- Fisheries Local Action Group (FLAG) “High Western Rhodopes: Batak—Devin—Dospat.”
